Not really sure how this blog is going to work since I'm not much of a writer! It seems to be the thing to do when you go on a mission trip though. I'm hoping to be able to write at least a few posts on here during my trip.
I read a book called The Heavenly Man during my trip to Destin last week. Seriously convicting! Brother Yun is a Chinese believer who has been tortured and imprisoned for his beliefs many times, but has also experienced incredible joy and fullness in his relationship with Jesus! His book describes all kinds of miracles including healings and prison escapes. One of his statements (directed toward the church in America)... "You can never really know the Scriptures until you're willing to be changed by them." I'm sick of picking and choosing which parts of the gospel are for me, and which parts are for others with different "callings." Ready to dive in!
